为了有效利用能源、珍惜资源，提高能源使用效率，舍弗勒积极推行可持续性发展战略，重点在实施节能改造、降低能源消耗方面，寻求增加绿色能源比例的方案，并加强对可持续性发展作出突出贡献的奖励力度。
舍弗勒根据可持续性发展战略规划，制定了能源管理的中长期规划，制定了能效提升的年度目标，开展了能效对标活动，并实施了一系列的节能改造项目，完成了公司制定的节能目标和政府部门下达的节能任务。去年，该公司单位产值综合能耗为0.0197吨标煤/万元，单位产值综合能耗同比下降7.77%，综合能效水平创历史新高。
在设施系统和生产设备上，舍弗勒实施了一系列的节能改造，包括配电柜冷却方式节能改造、压缩空气使用优化节能改造、热处理炉热回收、生产设备附属系统自动化改造等节能改造，年度重点节能改造项目投资260多万元，实现节能项目节能量2400多吨标煤。为了加强机电设备能效控制，该公司制定了新购机电设备能效标准程序，定义采购机电产品的能效等级不低于二级能效，新购设备必须采用相关的自动化控制措施，并执行能效控制程序，积极采用节能新产品、新技术。
