根据《大连市科学技术奖励办法》和《大连市专利奖奖励办法》有关规定，经专业组评审和评审委员会终审，2016年度大连市科学技术奖励和2016年度大连市专利奖奖励正式发布，在9月27日召开的大连市科技创新大会上进行了表彰。瓦轴集团共有五个项目受到表彰。
获得2016年度大连市科学技术奖励的项目为：高速线材精轧机核心导位轴承(32004—DW)、板材轧机连接轴用剖分式圆柱滚子轴承两项成果分别获得大连市科学技术进步奖三等奖。
获得2016年度大连市专利奖的项目为：双轴心结构组合轴承专利项目获大连市专利奖一等奖，冲压保持架调心滚子轴承专利项目获大连市专利奖二等奖，用于电机产品的精密轴承的绝缘方法专利项目获大连市专利奖三等奖。
